I am an advocate for slow change.
In the midst of challenging times when the pandemic cast shadows, there was this beautiful dance of slowing down, tuning in to God's whispers, and embracing dreams that felt tailor-made for Crystal.
It's a story of embracing new dreams through unnoticed creativity, connecting a community of budding artists in the sanctum of their homes —a slow surrender while living out their hidden dreams and visions.
Crystal believed in a higher calling even when she was like most of us — hustling through the busyness; feeling trapped in short-changed dreams. Time seems fleeting through her twenties and it took an incremental intentionality to walk away from consumerism in the fashion industry.
When she witnessed more of God's faithfulness, and the truth that we are all made equal and creative, she soon saw that it was the busyness that buried away God's creativity for man.
She asked, ‘How often do we trade time with God for more time to work for income?’ Wondering if God has created us in His image, why are we limiting God's capabilities to capitalize on our capacity in human form?
As believers, we have the spirit living in us. It means we can draw close to God, and His gentle whispers will a-tune us to our truest calling.

Slowness was not just a physical reaction to be slower. It came from a place where the intentionality was to quieten the noise surrounding her. In this space, she could breathe the fresh wind of God's anointing, using her hands to create art on a digital surface.
What started as a hobby turned into a small business where she began creating bespoke commissioned artwork. Along the journey, she met people who shared clarity to what God had chosen her to do. Eventually, her art grew into this passion, forming a community for others to share the same movement for slowness.
The Lord's heart is for us to love life and to see many good days, especially when we allow ourselves to be restful and at peace with who we are in Christ - His beloved children.

With faith and His love, slowlivecreate (sounds like “slowly” create) is created to nominate courage for change. One day at a time because Heaven is here, there's no lost time He cannot restore.
