“A Slow Life is not the absence of movement,
it is the presence of intention.”

Out of countless galaxies and planets, only one was formed with the perfect balance of air, light, and water to sustain life. Whether you believe in God or not, there's an undeniable sense of wonder in that. Earth wasn't just randomly beautiful, it was intentionally beautiful. That kind of intentionality points to purpose. And maybe that's something we're all searching for in our own way: a glimpse of what was originally meant to be.

But then there's the hard part. Suffering. Injustice. Envy.

And now, you have the choice to continue reading my book with intentionality

We live in a world that clearly isn't perfect. If there was a divine design, something fractured along the way. And whether you call it evil, darkness, or just human nature—we all feel it. We wrestle with it.

Still, the origin story many of us forget or maybe never even heard is this: Everything was made good. The world began with goodness. And within that goodness came one of the most mysterious and powerful gifts: free will.

This book explores the quiet courage it takes to stay—whether it’s in a hard season, a hidden calling, or a long-held dream. The decision to make a change often strikes us most when we’ve overstayed in a season—or when life happens, and we’re forcefully taken apart, only to rebuild again.

Life, in many ways, is designed to show us that failure isn’t the end. It’s simply part of a human journey worth living.

I wrote this with the hope that it brings clarity, courage, and maybe even a little healing to those who feel like they’ve been trying, but not getting very far. Because transformation is rarely instant—it’s usually one slow, intentional step at a time.

One small pivot. One degree of change.
Curving your path toward the direction you’re truly meant to go.

“I hope to inspire people by sharing the quiet power of slow, faithful living because I care deeply about God-led transformation, and encouraging those who feel unseen to trust that their hidden seasons still matter.”

— Crystal's Mission for this book.

“Crystal exists to create a safe space for women to slow down and reconnect to their innate creativity because she believes that slowing down helps us to be grounded and live with intention and purpose.”

— Vina, Brand Designer at Blome Design Co.

“I am an advocate for slow change.”

—a slow surrender while living out my hidden dreams and vision.

Amid challenging times when the pandemic cast shadows, there was this beautiful dance of slowing down, tuning in to God's whispers, and embracing dreams that I felt tailor-made for me.

Here at slowlivecreate, I hope to move away from busyness; slow down, live fully aware in the present, and create new beginnings. I genuinely believe there’s a higher calling besides mundane work, bills, and short-changed dreams. Surely, we can walk abundantly under open heavens, all the days of our lives.

Hi friends! I’m Crystal

This is a story of embracing new dreams through unnoticed creativity, connecting a community of budding artists in the sanctum of their homes a slow surrender while living out my hidden dreams and visions.

I believed in a higher calling even when like most of you — hustling through the busyness; feeling trapped in short-changed dreams. Time seems fleeting through my twenties and it took an incremental intentionality to walk away from consumerism in the fashion industry.

When I witnessed more of God's faithfulness, and the truth that we are all made equal and creative, I soon saw that it was the busyness that buried away God's creativity for me.

I asked, ‘How often do we trade time with God for more time to work for income?’ Wondering if God has created us in His image, why are we limiting God's capabilities to capitalize on our capacity in human form?

“Creativity is my lifeline now; it is ingrained into everything I do; in every action I take. Thus I hope through slowlivecreate, I can help you discover the same.”

Biography

With a background in Fashion Design and plenty of hands-on experience as a Visual Merchandiser, I have been exploring the ever-changing world of creativity and aesthetics. In my early days, I was eager to learn and work with people from different cultures and areas, like design, marketing, and creating engaging retail spaces. I am now applying what I’ve learned like a pro at infusing ideas that connect with people and bring a brand to life.

I am also recognized for my collaborative nature over the years on social media and my gifts are for turning visions into reality through teamwork and giving voice to small businesses. I take a holistic approach to collaboration, from the concept to the final execution, matching the intended narrative and aligns with the vision.

Not only do I offer creative services, I guess my nurturing nature and willingness to teach have allowed me to generously share my knowledge as an artist and an entrepreneur in the making.

As SLC grows, my dedication to change stays strong. Come along on this journey of progress with me, where concepts combine to create narratives that embody the essence of slow, live and create.
