A Journey of Faith and fresh anointing

My personal reflections on Kingdomcity Leader’s Advance Conference:

#KingdomcityLA23 was a transformative experience that left a deep impact on my soul. Over the course of three days, I had the privilege of immersing myself in worship, reflection, and inspiring sessions that stirred my faith and rekindled my passion for Christ. The best part was to experience this with my husband, James, and 6,000 others hungry for Jesus.

Day 1: September 27

The first day of the conference began with the verse from the book of Joshua: "Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses" (Joshua 1:3 NKJV). This verse set the tone for the days ahead, reminding us of God's promises and His faithfulness.

During the worship session, I was deeply moved. Tears flowed freely as I couldn't help but weep, sob, and cry out in worship. It was an overwhelming experience driven by an innate passion and a profound love for our Creator. The fragrance of worship filled the room, touching every heart. I realized the interconnectedness of our worship, and how one person's prayer could inspire another, creating a beautiful chain reaction of worship and praise.

The only awkwardness I felt was our own inhibitions—our fear of judgment when expressing our worship physically. True liberation came when we let go of self-doubt and self-consciousness, allowing ourselves to worship with all our hearts. It was a reminder that we should never let the enemy silence the joy that we carry since the day we embraced Jesus as our Savior.

Home became a symbol of comfort, but it should also serve as a launching pad; encouraging us to seek more of the atmosphere we experienced at the conference.

Day 2: September 28

The session with Dr. Michael Maiden delivered a message about leading with a limp, drawing inspiration from 2 Samuel 9:1-13. It was a powerful reminder that our weaknesses can be used by God for His glory. The ministry was overrun but to know that God was so intentional. He was healing people so specifically. The way He calls out His people with specific needs and prayer. I was God-struck. Who loves better than He who loves us so much that He gave unconditionally.

Ps Samuel's session was equally impactful. He reminded us that our mess can become God's miracle, quoting Isaiah 43:19: "For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?"

The key takeaways from the stories of two different blind men. One was blinded from birth (John 9) and the other was partially blind (Mark 8)

  1. Open your eyes to what you have never seen before —the new thing

  2. Open your eyes to see God’s spirit

  3. Open your eyes to God’s original design

  4. Don’t settle for trees

Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

God is about doing the new thing. In order to see it clearly we have to open our eyes towards heaven. His thoughts and ways are higher.

As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Day 3: September 29

A moment to remember, and we only took one photo together because the conversation was just so inspiring. I have finally met Carissa the artist behind Wildflowerculture in real life! Two years ago we met online, we dreamed up together, worked on a collaboration together, and prayed over our marriages and partners. Today we met together with our partners. It’s amazing how God brings people together in a full circle. Each of us is so significant. There’s a similarity in our journey yet the stories are so uniquely crafted for us individually. I love this kind of community. Same but different.

“our Restfulness comes from the Lord’s faithfulness”

Amid our storm, we had to shift our egos to rest. Becoming intentional for rest was a state of mind that God works for us. This was truly a God story. We could not have done it all without His divine intervention. He is a miracle-working God!

Afternoon session started with Shane Willard's message emphasizing doing ALL things without grumbling or disputing, (Philippians 2:14). He identified several reasons why we grumble and encouraged us to be intentional about remembering the good, recognizing the larger-than-life nature of our faith, and embracing the marathon of life.

Russell Evans spoke about faith being the engine that drives our lives, quoting Hebrews 11:1: "The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living." Faith is the engine that takes you to your destination. Your faith leads to your salvation, and your actions driven by faith can lead to the salvation of others.

Here's what faith, or the engine of faith, accomplishes:

1. Initiates Motion: Faith ignites a movement

2. Assign purpose to the blueprint of life

3. Takes you to where joy, work, homes, and dreams reside

4. Empower you to ascend steep challenges with speed

Finishing it with a quote from St Augustine:

Faith is to believe what we do not see, and the reward of faith is to see what we believe.

Day 4: September 30

At the final day of the conference, it magnified God’s glory, God's promises, and the importance of manifesting with unwavering faith. I was reminded of the unique roles we each play in God's greater plan and how our presence holds great significance in the room. The idea was that our actions today create a path for future generations to follow, reinforcing the need to claim the territories God has promised and to nurture our faith.

We were encouraged to look ahead with anticipation, considering what God has in store for the next ten years, while also staying committed to our faith and work.

As we work in the fields we are called into. There will be an increase in faith and a clear vision of what the Lord is about to do. 💫

God is the God of the next step. It’s interesting how God remains a mystery. I personally think it is His strategy to keep us on the path. He loves to grow us. He is the kind of CEO who spends intimate time with His people. He knows us and He wants us to get to know Him and seek Him. The Bible says, “Understanding Your word brings light to the minds of ordinary people” Psalm 119:130 CEV

Imagine if God were to foretell the exact date and time Jesus is coming, would you stay hungry for Him? Do you think we might become complacent or less motivated to live a life that leads others to Him, thinking they have ample time to change or that there's no urgency?

The essence of faith lies in believing without seeing and trusting God's plan. While not knowing the exact timing of Jesus' return may keep us motivated and focused on our faith journey, it's essential to remember that faith should be driven by love and devotion to God, rather than fear of consequences or a sense of duty.

“It's a reminder that our faith should be genuine, our love for God sincere, and our actions guided by a desire to share His love with others, regardless of our knowledge of the future.”

During a particularly moving prayer intercession, extended to cities, nations, and people. The atmosphere was charged with spiritual energy, and it was clear that something significant was on the horizon. There was a call specifically for creatives and business people. It was during this time that the phrase "Anointing before appointed" echoed into my heart and my mind. Though its full meaning wasn't immediately clear, I felt compelled to explore it further. When the pastor (I can’t remember who) mentioned that we are equipped to bring cultural change to marketplaces. I knew in my spirit that SLC still has a place on earth. God is not done yet and there are grains for us in this collective harvest.

As the conference came to a close, the protectiveness in me felt that we had to safeguard the abundance of blessings God poured into our lives over the past few days, “Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10

The enemy is already on its way to kill, steal, and destroy the seeds that are planted. But God is gracious and kind, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

This conference had a profound impact on me. It ignited my passion for worship, deepened my faith, and emphasized the importance of staying connected to God's promises. As I return to my everyday routine, I carry with me the valuable lessons I've learned and a renewed sense of purpose from these transformative days. My prayer is that I continue to grow in faith, guard my heart, and eagerly anticipate the incredible things God has in store for the future.

I have to say, there was a thick anointing throughout the entire event, and I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing God's appointed individuals working in harmony very soon. This won't just affect the people who attended the conference; there's a wave of change heading your way, and it's right on the horizon. Probably very much near you.

If you were there, remember the goodness of God through this event. Guard it, protect what was seeded in you. Remember to keep your heart nourished so that these seeds, the words imparted during the conference will bloom at God’s appointed time.
